From the Field: Algonquin Backcountry
We’ve been making bug shirts for a long time, and one thing has always mattered — how they perform in real conditions.
Not staged.
Not controlled.
Just bugs.
In places like Algonquin Park, that kind of testing comes naturally.
Long days on the water, setting up camp, moving through trails and shoreline — it doesn’t take long before the mosquitoes show up. And when they do, they don’t ease in.
This is exactly the kind of environment our shirts are built for.
There are people who spend a lot of time out there — not just passing through, but documenting their trips, learning the routes, and sharing what actually works in the backcountry.
Andrew, through his site All of Algonquin, is one of them.
Since starting his project, he’s explored hundreds of lakes and built detailed trip reports and campsite reviews across the park. It’s the kind of firsthand experience you only get by being out there, over and over again.
